Splashtastic Songkran at SALA Samui Choengmon Beach Resort

Experience the gentler side of Thai New Year with a full-day schedule of traditional activities including: bathing a Buddha image with rose scented water (8 – 11 a.m.), a long drum parade (2 p.m.), and water pouring ceremony to ask for blessings from elders (3 p.m.). Thai-Spiced Sips at sala rattanakosin Bangkok  

Get a taste of Thailand this month with four special cocktails specially created in honour of Thai New Year. Mekhong Thai rum based concoctions – including drinks made with sweet basil and local tea, are specially paired with tamarind or Thai gooseberry and chilli salt snacks. THB 250++ per cocktail, available through April at the restaurant (11 a.m. – 10 p.m.) and rooftop bar (4 p.m. – 11 p.m.).

Historical Set Menu at sala ayutthaya

sala ayutthaya celebrates authentic Thai culture and the rich heritage of the ancient city with traditional dishes dating back to the early 1600s. The four-course set menu features authentic creations including the Thai herb salad known as “saeng wa goong” and the old fashioned “gaeng ranjuaan” curry. THB 1,800++ per couple, available for lunch and dinner at the eatery and bar by the river overlooking historic Wat Phutthaisawan, which was one of the filming locations for Thai drama series Buppae Sanniwas (Love Destiny).

His solo “Portraying Ayutthaya” exhibition features masterpieces which reflect his love for the arts and awe for the destination. Currently exhibited at the sala ayutthaya gallery from now until 29 May 2018.
