Experience the gentler side of Thai New Year with a full-day schedule of traditional activities including: bathing a Buddha image with rose scented water (8 – 11 a.m.), a long drum parade (2 p.m.), and water pouring ceremony to ask for blessings from elders (3 p.m.). sala ayutthaya celebrates authentic Thai culture and the rich heritage of the ancient city with traditional dishes dating back to the early 1600s. The four-course set menu features authentic creations including the Thai herb salad known as “saeng wa goong” and the old fashioned “gaeng ranjuaan” curry. THB 1,800++ per couple, available for lunch and dinner at the eatery and bar by the river overlooking historic Wat Phutthaisawan, which was one of the filming locations for Thai drama series Buppae Sanniwas (Love Destiny).
